All Magick Is Sex Magick

A sentiment I heartily agree with.

From this article, which makes some valid points, however, there is this:

Books with greater truths about sexuality and spirituality may only appeal to those who are willing to look past the licentious uses of sex and who are ready to challenge their own preconceptions. Few people really discuss sexuality openly and honestly

OK, fine as far as it goes - but do I detect a slight prissiness here? The 'licentious uses of sex' can be, IS, just as magickal - there is no separation. It is entirely possible to see the most tacky porn as a gateway into expanded consciousneess. In fact, I would say that until you can do just that, you ain't got it. To deny that is to deny Babalon. Don't get hung up on your worthiness, people.

A Few Pics

This is one of my favourite pics of Mocuar.
It was taken in a hotel room in Amsterdam a few years ago. I think it captures her rather well.

Quote

There is an exchange of power that happens in SM that I have yet to find in many other places. Some SM activity may be understood as a ritual "sacrifice," the person being tortured sacrificing their power, pain or blood to the person doing the beating, cutting or piercing. Some people are in SM for the endorphins and the "high" produced by the person on the bottom (the one being beaten or whatever), which is empathed by the top, who then gets a contact high.

From here, an interesting article.

This is true, not only the 'pain' element in S/M, but also in the acts of dominance or submission themselves.

A year has gone . . .

. . . since I started this blog. I wasn't sure how it would go or how long it would last, certainly a lot has happened, hence the gaps here and there. I have to say I've enjoyed it. So I'll keep it rolling as best as I can.

Here's a little pic of Mocuar to commemorate the occasion. Lovely!

Pleased to meet you, hope you guessed my name . . .

I first that this back in '68. I went round my mate Steve's house because he told me he'd just bought the Stone's latest LP (we called them LP's in the dim mists of antiquity).

I sat down, he put it on and I was transfixed. Bloody incredible. A hell of a mind-fuck when you're 17. It still sounds wonderful.
